I have a friend the works for lowes, she told me that lowes corporate policy is 10%, all you have to do is show your ID.

Disney world is also doing a military appreciation program… $125.00 for 4 days with park hopper… you have to pay for your ticket and can get up to 4 more at the same price for family and freinds.

Thanks Mike! I will update the post with the info. I wanted to take the kids to Disney soon and was looking for discounts!

Both Lowes and Home Depot do a 10% military discount, just show ID and Old Navy does as well. Most pro sports shops (that sell jerseys and hats for pro and college teams) also do a big military discount ( I wish I had names, but it seems every one I’ve gone in does it). All airlines (if you call the actual airline) will do a military discount and sometimes an active duty ID will get your bags checked free.

Thanks for all of this info Patience. We will update accordingly!

Not all LOWES in Va give a discount. Our does not in Richmond despite an argument with the manager about their policy. Old navy give 10% ONLY on the first 4 days of each month. Bush Gardens both in Williamsburg, va and Florida give a free admission to military families ( limit one per family per year).
For the airlines- you have to take the discount off of the full price of the ticket and it is usually still cheaper to buy off one of those discount website.

A bit late, but on the airlines not charging for checked bags…as the wife of a reservist, I asked about baggage check. They immediately removed the bag charges for both bags, even though I made it clear my husband was not on orders, and I was a dependent! On a flight home from Puerto Rico I asked about the policy, the gentleman checking us in knew nothing of it, but when a supervisor overheard, she immediately removed charges for both of us!
